E. N. Welch Ripple Front Clock

DESCRIPTION:  This clock is a C.1858, E. N. Welch, Forestville, Conn., full ripple beehive in rosewood.

DIMENSIONS:  70 x 28 x 11 inches.

CONDITION:

  • Case:  The Rosewood is in excellent condition. The finish on the case is excellent and is either original or an old professional restoration.  The reverse painted tablet appears to be a restoration repair and done well.

  • Movement: The movement is original and run very well.  The pendulum is original.

  • Dial:  The dial pan and dial are original.

  • Chimes:  Chimes a gong on the hour.

PROVENANCE:   Purchased from a McCungie Pa estate in 1999

Waterbury No. 43 Calendar Clock

DESCRIPTION:  This clock is a Waterbury No. 43 Double Dial Calendar Clock manufactured in 1912. The clock is in excellent original condition.

DIMENSIONS:  28 inches.

Ithaca No. 9 Shelf Cottage Clock

DESCRIPTION:  This clock is a Ithaca No. 9 Shelf Cottage Clock manufactured ca1888. The clock is in excellent condition.

DIMENSIONS:  22 x 12  inches.

  • Case:  The walnut case is in excellent condition. The finish on the case is excellent and is either original or an old professional restoration.

  • Movement:  Both movements are original and run very well.  The pendulum is original.

  • Dial:  The dials are original.

PROVENANCE:   Purchased in Philadelphia from a collector 13  years ago.
